The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and Northern Emirates commenced the conduct of the overseas absentee voting for the 2013 National Elections on April 13.

Last April 13, 2013, overseas voting for the 2013 elections has started in different diplomatic posts around the world.

Ms. Rosanna Manahan Pol was the first to cast a ballot at the Consulate.

Voting is held at the Consulate General on weekdays (Sunday-Thursday), from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. On weekends (Friday-Saturday), voting is from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Voters are requested to bring a proof of identification like passports or Emirates ID.

The Commission on Elections recognizes the importance of each and every vote of every Filipino in the Philippines and anywhere around the globe. This is highlighted in the passage of Republic Act No. 9189 or "An Act Providing For A System Of Overseas Absentee Voting By Qualified Citizens Of The Philippines Abroad, Appropriating Funds Therefor, And For Other Purposes" on February 13, 2003. Since then, the Commission did not cease to find ways to provide opportunities for the Filipinos who are abroad to be able to cast their votes and have their voices heard in a very important democratic process.
