Born on October 28, 1970 to Renato Cayetano and Sandra Schramm. He is the 2nd of the couples' four children and is married to Lani Lopez Cayetano.
Finished his Pre-Law course at the University of the Philippines and got his Law Degree from the Ateneo School of Law.
Now serving his 2nd term as Senator of the Philippines and currently Majority Floor Leader. He was a three-time member of the House of Representatives representing the (then) lone district of Taguig and Pateros.
