It’s Official: BlackBerry Messenger is coming To Android September 21; iOS On September 22.

According to blog.BlackBerry, the iconic mobile social network will begin rolling out for Android and iPhone customers around the world from September 21. Soon, you’ll be able to easily connect with friends on different platforms. As you may know BBM was previously exclusive to BlackBerry smartphones, and it will be available as a free download in Google Play and the App Store.

BBM gives you a private social network for active, real conversations and it has more than 60 million customers on BlackBerry alone.

According to CrackBerry, they have received several reports that BBM for Android will go live on Friday, while the iOS version will hit reportedly hit iTunes the next day on the 21st.

BlackBerry as officially announced that BBM for Android will hit the public on September 21, while the iOS version will land on September 22.

Google announced at the Google I/O 2013 keynote that it has officially reached 900 million Android activations.

Google’s Sundar Pichai took the stage to reveal the news. Last year, activations passed 400 million total, which means growth has over doubled in a single year.
