Video- Laurel plane crash injures pilot

A small plane crashed into a mobile home this morning in Anne Arundel County.

The Federal Aviation Administration has released a statement saying they’ve been told by Maryland State Police that the ill-fated plane was described as a Beechcraft BE 23.

Local police believe that the pilot was unable to gain enough altitude after lift-off, but in order to determine the exact cause of the Laurel plane crash, FAA and NTSB personnel are going to the crash site to investigate.

An explosion at a Texas fertilizer plant Wednesday night that may have left hundreds of people injured was reported by several news organizations.

According to CNN, the blast reportedly happened at around 7:50 p.m. (8:50 p.m. ET) on April 17. A photo of the explosion showed large smoke rising into the air after the explosion.

The report said the blast happened at the West Fertilizer Plant located about 20 miles north of Waco, near a nursing home, an appartment, and a school building.

Video- Teen dies playing chicken

Austin Price, 15, of Hayward, Calif., was killed by a northbound Capitol Corridor train on Thursday when he did not get out of the way during the chicken game, reported the San Francisco Chronicle. Two other boys were playing along with him and were not hurt, police said.

Principal Tovi Scruggs told media that many students ignore the fence as well as the warning signs and still continue to walk on the tracks, not minding the danger...that anything fatal could happen.

“It’s an ongoing concern” for the school, Scruggs reportedly said.

Austin’s death was pointless because, as his longtime friend Olympia Pereira puts it, “It was just a game,” reports the Inquistr.

100 arrested in a Drug Bust across multi-state.

Authorities said, according to the Clarion Ledger, that the multi-state crackdown involved more than 700 law enforcement officers who made the arrests in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, Puerto Rico and Rhode Island. At least 100 people were arrested in a drug bust operation Wednesday.

“We allege that the defendants arrested today were responsible for a very large percentage of the heroin and cocaine available for street sale in New London County,” U.S. Attorney David Fein said.

Officials accuse Luis Ariel Capellan Maldonado of facilitating shipment of “multi-kilogram quantities” of heroin and sometimes cocaine from the Dominican Republic, his native country. He allegedly used couriers to distribute the drugs in the United States.
