As an active SSS member having a monthly contribution automatically deduct by my company on my allowance, I would like to know my SSS Benefit upon retirement. Here's the tutorial on How to Compute your SSS Monthly Retirement Pension.

The SSS retirement benefit is a cash benefit paid either as a monthly pension or a as lump sum to a member who can no longer work due to old age. Those who are receiving monthly pensions have their pensions doubled every December as a bonus from SSS.

Types of retirement benefits:

• Monthly pension – a lifetime cash benefit paid to a retiree on a regularl basis.
• Lump sum amount – one-time payment granted to a retiree. The amount is equal to the total contributions paid by the member and/or by his/her ERs, including interest earned

How to Calculate your Pension:

1. Go to SSS Retirement Calculator, HERE!

2. Enter your Date of Birth, Month and Year Started as an SSS Member and Monthly Salary/Earnings.

3. Click Compute.

SSS Calculator will then compute your Monthly Pension as shown below:

Qualifying Conditions

Member must have paid at least 120 monthly contributions prior to the semester of retirement and is any of the following, whichever is applicable 

1. at least 60 years old and separated from employment or has ceased to be an SE/OFW/Household Helper (optional retirement);
2. at least 65 years old whether still employed/SE, working as OFW/Household Helper or not (technical retirement);
3. at least 55 years old and separated from employment or has ceased to be an SE, if an “underground mineworker” (optional retirement);
4. at least 60 years old whether still employed/SE or not, if an “underground mineworker” (technical retirement); or
5. a total disability pensioner who has recovered from disability and is at least 60 years old (or at least 55 years old, if an underground mineworker).

Open QuickTime. Click File menu, then click New Movie Recording (QuickTime opens). Click on the arrow next to the Record button and select your iPhone from the list in both Camera and Microphone sections. Open the Periscope app and click on any of the Replays or Broadcasts you would like to record from others.

What you need:

• A Mac computer (I haven’t tested it on a PC, probably works as well)
• Quick Time (it’s included on the Mac software bundle)

Steps:

• Connect your iPhone with the USB cable into your Mac. (Allow any permissions requested, if any). If your iPhone has the Mute button on (in red), put it back to its normal state (Mute off).
• Open QuickTime.
• Click File menu, then click New Movie Recording (QuickTime opens).
• Click on the arrow next to the Record button and select your iPhone from the list in both Camera and Microphone sections.
• Open the Periscope app and click on any of the Replays or Broadcasts you would like to record from others.
• Once you are ready to record, click the Record button on the QuickTime app and then click Play in your iPhone on the selected broadcast.
• When you are ready to save the video from QuickTime, just click on the File menu, then click on Export and finally click on the resolution you would like to save the video you have recorded.

What to do if Facebook photos are not showing.

For the past 3 or 4 days, I cannot view photos on Facebook. Some load and others do not. I've tried several different things: switching between browsers, clearing cache/cookies, uninstalling Flash and reinstalling, restarting computer, logging out of and back into Facebook, running malware software..etc. Nothing has helped. I can sign into my account on my work computer and do not have this problem nor do I have this problem on my iPhone. Other websites show their pictures just fine. This is just a problem on Facebook only. Please HELP!

iMovie and iLife apps not updating on OSX Yosemite- What to do

According to one iMac user, yesterday I bought a new Macbook pro 13 - Retina 256Gb. I upgraded it today to Yosemite, I wanted to start IMovies after the update, but it does't start - it says: "You can´t use this version of the application "IMovie" with this version of OS X" You have "IMovie" 10.0.3." - telling me basically to update the application.

But here comes the problem, after I installed Yosemite I cannot upgrade any "ILife" application on Appstore. I get the message: "Update Unavailable with this Apple ID This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled."

- Go to Purchases tab in AppStore
- Apply your AppleID to iMovie, iPhoto, Pages, Numbers etc. ( I had to type in my password for every of the apps)

How to Change your Playstation Network Password on PS4

It is good that we change our Playstation Network pass word from time to to time to protect our account.



There are several ways to change your PlayStation Network/Sony Entertainment Network password via the PlayStation 4. Read the three scenarios below, and click on the one that matches your situation.

• I know my password and the email associated with my PSN/SEN account


• I don't know my password, but I do have access to both the email account and date-of-birth associated with my PSN/SEN account


• I don't know my password, and I don't have access to both the email account and the date-of-birth associated with my PSN/SEN account.

To change your SEN password if you know the email address and password associated with your SEN account:

• From the PS4's Home Screen, press up on the d-pad to get to the Function area.


• Go to [Settings] > [PSN] > [Account Information] > [Password] and press X.


• If prompted to enter your Sign-In ID and password, do so and choose OK. If you've recently signed in, you won't see this screen. In that case, go to the next step.

Enter your new password twice and choose Confirm. Your password is now reset.To change your SEN password if you do not know your password, but have access to the email account and date-of-birth associated with the account:

1. From the PS4's Home Screen, press up on the d-pad to get to the Function area.


2. Go to [Settings] > [PSN] > [Sign In] and press X. If you see [Sign Out] instead of [Sign In], go ahead and sign out and then choose [Sign In].


3. Enter the Sign-In ID for which you wish to recover your password, and then press the triangle button to choose "Forgot your password?"


4. Your Sign-In ID should already be filled out. Now enter the Date of Birth you entered when you created your account.


5. Highlight [Confirm] and press the X button icon button to have a password reset email sent

Once you receive the email, follow the instructions in the email to complete your password reset.A few things to note when resetting your password:

• If you have done the “Forgot your password” process multiple times, use the temporary reset link from the last email you received from the PlayStation Network as it will contain the only valid link.


• Please check your SPAM folder just in case your "Forgot your password" reset email was flagged as SPAM.


• Add "PlayStationNetwork@ac.playstation.net" to your address book.


• Make sure you are checking the email account that is linked to your Sony Entertainment Network account.

To change your PSN/SEN password if you don't know your password and don't have access to both the email account and the date-of-birth associated with your PSN/SEN account:

I shot some video on my iphone 5S, and when i imported the video, it comes up upside down! Now in quicktime and other programs the video is the right away around. The problem would be solved if I could rotate it 180 degrees.

1. Double-click on the video clip in the timeline to open the Effects Editor or right-click on the clip and select “Open Effects Editor”.

2. Select the following plugin: Effects > 2D-3D > 2D Editor CPU.

3. Change the Preset from Default to No Preset.

4. Next, adjust the Rotation via the plugin settings. By dragging the bar to left or right you can rotate the clip as you desire.

5. If you want motion, you can turn on keyframing to add different rotation at various keyframes to accomplish this effect.

Instagram announced on July 11, a new feature for web profiles and web feeds: the ability to embed Instagram photos and videos onto other sites.



Instagram notes that a new share button is available on the right side of Instagram photos and videos, with an embed code available on each for posting elsewhere. Embed codes are only available on public media.

Embedded photos and videos will appear with the Instagram owner's username. Clicking the Instagram logo on embedded media takes viewers to the page of the Instagram user who posted the media.

To embed photo/video from Instagram on a Web page you'll need to visit the photo or video using your favorite browser. While viewing the page, you'll notice a new Share button under the usual Comment and Like buttons.



Clicking on the Share button will only provide you with the embed code. From there you simply copy and paste it into a blog post, a personal Web site, or on any Web page you can use HTML with.

New Video uploaded on YouTube always under review- What to do to monetize

Monetization Under Review Issue/Bug June 2013. New issue as of 7/9/13, seems no video's are Monetizing. No further information as of right now, but you're not alone. Its been about 3 days now and all my video's stay "Under Review" I know a hand full of people this is happening to as well! Also if you change any settings on your old video's they will move to under review! BEWARE!

I had the same problem. Video "under review" for days... I've heard of weeks, even months from some people. This is a very simple fix to take your video monetization from "under review" to "Monetized". This only takes a few seconds.



1. Go to your video manager

2. Start at the top of your video list

3. Position your mouse over the green box to the right that says "under review"

4. Click the green box that says "under review"

5. You are automatically taken to your video's "Monetize Options" page

6. Click "Do Not Monetize"

7. Click the "save changes" button
