Apple announces iPad Air and Retina display iPad Mini models. The new iPads have just been announced by Apple during the October 22 special event, along with new MacBooks and the powerful but tiny Mac Pro.



iPad Air is impossibly thin but incredibly solid thanks to its aluminum unibody design. It dropped almost a quarter of the volume of the previous-generation iPad. Where to watch iPad Mini Event Live Streaming Online? The 23rd of October is the big day for Apple during which the world’s most valuable company becomes once again the focus of the tech universe.

The special media event, will introduce a smaller 7.85-inch, A5 dual-core processor, 1GB RAM iPad, takes place at the California Theatre in San Jose, CA instead of typical locations like the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco or Apple’s own Town Hall and kicks off at 10:00 a.m. Pacific / 1:00 p.m. Eastern. According to Mercury News, Apple last used this venue to introduce its first iPod products back in 2004 and 2005.

Technology website AllThingsD has confirmed that Apple will launch a smaller version of the popular Apple iPad by October.



In his August 25 entry, John Paczkowski of AllThingsD posted that according to their unnamed sources, the “iPhone 5″ is likely to be unveiled on the second week of September, while the new seven-inch Apple tablet is scheduled for an October debut.

Earlier we reported that the iPda Mini will be release on September but now a more specific release date of September 12 was circulated online. The report comes after The Korea Times wrote last month that Samsung was supplying Apple with “new PLS-based LCD technology for smaller iPads.” An unnamed Samsung official also told the publication that Apple was “planning to release a smaller iPad, probably with a 7.86-inch screen,” later this year. The current iPad has a 9.7-inch screen.

According to a recently uncovered Samsung Securities document, the smaller iPad is inevitable and will arrive in the third quarter of 2012, according to OLED-Display.net.
