Is Souq.com a cheater since they are advertising a Go Pro Hero 3+ Black Edition for AED 1,699 and if you are not aware of the specifications, they will deliver to you a GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition only!
Beware, just ordered GoPro Hero 3+ from Souq.com but they delivered older model.
Just got my supposed to be GoPro Hero 3+ which I ordered from Souq.com. After waiting for 6 days before they deliver the item, a different model from the one I ordered was delivered.
It is very clear from the description that the item which cost AED 1,699 is the GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition and not the GoPro Hero 3 Black edition only.
You cannot say that it is not intentional since the GoPro Hero 3+ clearly has a plus (+) sign on the camera unit itself.
This is what I got from Souq.com, an older version of the camera and not the Hero3+.
NOTE: Please share this article to all your friends who used to shop online for them to be aware of what might me happening on their order as the online shopping store will try to cheat on them so it's better for them to know the specification of the products that they are buying otherwise they might settle for second best. UPDATE: January 19, 2014- Souq.com with seller dod_uae is cheating their customer. I just returned today the GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition to Souq.com which was pick-up by QExpress. I telephoned their customer service thereafter and asked how about the replacement since they deliver the worng item. The operator told me that they will just return my payment since the item is not available but when I check the link of their advertisement it is still very much active. http://uae.souq.com/ae-en/gopro-hero3+-12-megapixel-hero3-camera-black-edition-6324339/i/
Therefore when you order this item dod_uae seller from Souq will deliver to you the older model, so beware!
On their Facebook page another person is claiming for Souq.com's taking and vanishing tactics in the name of Bebe Pinkya
She wrote:
"I have bought from u an item and paid trough ur website by card.. i had been waiting more than 1 month for it nothing happened n nobody called...?????? Ur costumer service fone does not work at all ...shall we consider it as taking money n vanishing ??!!!"

The worst thing on this is that the QExpess will pick-up the item which according to the telephone operator will take 3 to 4 working days and it will be returned to the seller and I might wait for another one week before they send me the correct item, knowing the delivery service from this online store, you have to have more patience. So with a small difference on the price it is better for you guys to check-out other online store here in UAE with a better service and a way faster delivery service, the likes of JadoPado, CrazyDeals and much more. The two mentioned online store can deliver your item in a couple of hours only after you placed your order or at least within the next day unlike in Souq where the delivery will take 7 to 10 days or more if you don't follow-up and request to expedite your order.
Right now my goal is not to order from Souq.com again since it's very stressful and a waste of time to communicate with them, especially they don't have a free hotline like JadoPado and CrazyDeals to make a follow-up, you have to wait for a long queue and so you have to have enough mobile load for you to be able to speak with them.
This item actually is only AED 1800 in Apple Store UAE and they even sold it at AED1,650 during Apple One Day Only sale during Black Friday, I should have brought it from Apple Store and delivered with 24-hours only without any need to follow-up.
