PS4- PlayStation 4 available soon

Sony is preparing itself for the release of PlayStation 4 or PS4. In fact according to the report from 'thetechlabs.com', while the PlayStation 4 is currently getting its treatment, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 6 are in the early stages of planning and conceptualization at Sony’s R&D labs.



The Sony PlayStation 4 is said to be made of eco-friendly materials. The gaming console is expected to be made up to 60% of recyclable materials. Apart from that, it will also have a “Eco Start” feature, which will allow gamers to save and resume games, without having to switch off the console.

Sony PlayStation 4 will have full 3D support with 4K2K compatibility, and supports 3D Blu-Ray. It is enabled to synchronize with Sony Ericson, and also synchronize with the Sony Bravia. The Sony Entertainment Network (SEN), formerly called Qriocity, will also be included in the console.

Hopefully we'll get a glance of PS4 on the upcoming E3 2012 this June.

Intel Core i7-2860QM- quad core processor

The Core i7-2860QM is a high-end quad core processor made by Intel for notebook computers. The Intel Core i7-2860QM quad core processor is based on the Sandy Bridge structural design and provides HyperThreading technology that is capable of handling 8 threads at the same time thereby icreasing the performance by about 20% more.



This quad core processor has a clock speed of 2.5 GHz and is capable of overclocking up to 3.6 GHz because of TurboBoost technology. The Intel Core i7-2860QM quad core processor has an integrated graphics controller and AES functions. The integrated GPU in Intel Core i7-2860QM quad core processor is called as Intel HD Graphics 3000 and said to be as good as entry level discreet graphics card like Nvidia Geforce 310M, and shares the fast L3 cache. The HD Graphics 3000 is clocked between 650 MHz and 1300 MHz because of TurboBoost in the GPU side.

Furthermore, this Core i7-2860QM has Level 1 Cache of about 256 KB, Level 2 Cache of 1024 KB and Level 3 Cache of 8192 KB. The Intel Core i7-2860QM quad core processor has a thermal design power of about 45 watts which makes it best suited for laptops with 15 inch screen size or above. This Core i7-2860QM processor has a PassMark rating of 7912.

Angry Birds lovers may get their dream date on Valentine's Day, when the lovable video game characters slingshot their way to social networking giant Facebook.



Tech news site Penn-Olson.com reported Thursday (Manila time) Rovio, the maker of the hit game, is planning a big launch in Jakarta on Feb. 14.



"Speaking exclusively to Penn Olson today in Jakarta, Peter Vesterbacka, the ‘Mighty Eagle’ of Rovio, and Henri Holm, the SVP of Rovio Asia, shared the company’s plan to release Angry Birds to more than 800 million people on Facebook. And what’s more, the company is planning its big launch to be held in Jakarta on February 14th. Why Jakarta? Well it’s obvious, Peter says, as Jakarta is the global capital of Facebook. Holding the launch here would be appropriate as it is a major Facebook hub," it said.

Angry Birds slingshot its way to success shortly after its release in 2009, and Rovio has since been busy building the brand.



Penn-Olson said the game has had more than 700 million downloads and may have more than one billion this year.



The success of "Angry Birds" is triggering Rovio's evolution into an entertainment company that will make comics, animations, and even plush toys.



Rovio has also worked with Samsung so Angry Birds will be pre-installed on every new Smart TV and the 2010 and 2011 versions of the TV sets will get an update that will install Angry Birds, Penn-Olson reported.



"Not only that, they are bringing the Angry Birds experience to the next billion by reaching the feature phone market (working together with Nokia on its Asha series). In the near future, Rovio is also working to bring a seamless and connected experience through any platform you play Angry Birds on. For example, if you start playing Angry Birds on your iPad, you can continue your progress on your Samsung TV or on a PC in an internet cafe," it said.

iPhone5 is set to be launched on Summer 2012

iPhone5 is rumored to be launched on Summer 2012 according to report.

9to5Mac reported this week that Chinese manufacturing company Foxconn has begun ramping up for production on the iPhone 5, with a possible target release date of this summer.

Apple is coming off of a stellar October-December quarter. During the 14-week period, the Cupertino, California-based company posted a net profit of $13.06 billion on revenues of $46.33 billion, both of which were record figures. Apple sold 37.04 million iPhones during its 2011 holiday quarter, while iPad sales came in at 15.43 million and Mac sales stood at 5.2 million.

According to Gamespot report, potential PlayStation Vita purchasers have another option to consider, as Sony today announced new incentives to pick up the 3G versions of its hardware bundles.

The $300 version of new handheld will now include free 8GB memory stick, PSN game, AT&T 3G data plan access; $350 First Edition preorders to receive just the PSN game and data plan.

GameSpot testing suggests facial recognition features of motion-sensing camera system might not work properly for some gamers; Microsoft says lighting levels to blame.



In testing the Kinect, two dark-skinned GameSpot employees had problems getting the system's facial recognition features to work.



While testing out the Kinect, two dark-skinned GameSpot employees experienced problems with the system's facial recognition abilities. The system recognized one employee inconsistently, while it was never able to properly identify the other despite repeated calibration attempts. However, Kinect had no problems identifying a third dark-skinned GameSpot employee, recognizing his face after a single calibration. Lighter-skinned employees were also consistently picked up on the first try.
