The popular downloadable game "Angry Birds" has enjoyed more than 75 million downloads, so it’s about time that the game developer Rovio is expanding the franchise to the Facebook.
The official Angry Birds page on Facebook says that the game will come to the social network in a month, promising to update you on the release if you click “like.” Already 1,260,347 people have done exactly that.
The game involves slinging round, wingless birds at various structures with the intent of wiping out the evil, green pigs hidden underneath. Angry Birds has been adapted for other touch-screen smartphones, including the Android. Now the game-maker’s CEO, Mikael Hed, is curious to see how the Facebook community will respond. Angry Birds joins a plethora of games adapted for Facebook, including recent additions like Carmen Sandiego and Oregon Trail.
