Here's Amazon Kindle HD Specs and Video Demo! Amazon announced the Kindle Fire HD, and it is the next generation of the retailers 7-inch tablet line. While the original Kindle Fire received some minor upgrades.
The 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HD 4G has a high definition display, Dolby audio, dual-band dual-antenna Wi-Fi and is a 4G LTE capable device. It is available for $499 and $599 for the 32GB and 64GB models, respectively.
The Kindle Fire HD 8.9” has almost the same specifications, but is Wi-Fi only and cheaper. It’s sold at $299 for the 16GB and $369 for the 32GB model.
These two tablets sport an HD touchscreen 1920x1200 display which is capable of playing movies and TV shows in up to 1080p at 254 ppi.
The smaller Kindle Fire HD, with a screen measuring 7 inches diagonally has a screen resolution of 1280x800. Last year's 7-inch (178-millimeter) model, and the upgraded version with better innards unveiled Thursday, has a screen with 1024x600 pixels.
