Apple apologized to Samsung! 




Visitors to Apple's website will not see the government-mandated apology until they scroll all the way down due to a JavaScript code that Apple implemented on its site, tech sites reported.



CNET noted that last October 18, U.K. High Court Judge Colin Birss ordered Apple to post a statement on its U.K. Web site for one month, and once in a number of U.K. print publications.


"This code essentially ensures that the iPad mini advertisement takes up the whole page. In other words, no matter your resolution, you won’t see the statement without scrolling down the page. It’s no wonder that it took Apple so long to post the second apology; the company was likely looking for loopholes," said an article on The Next Web.

It cited users on Hacker News and Reddit who said Apple modified its website to ensure the message is never displayed without visitors having to scroll down.

On 9 July 2012 the High Court of Justice of England and Wales ruled that Samsung Electronic(UK) Limited’s Galaxy Tablet Computers, namely the Galaxy Tab 10.1, Tab 8.9 and Tab 7.7 do notinfringe Apple’s Community registered design No. 0000181607-0001. A copy of the full judgment of

That Judgment has effect throughout the European Union and was upheld by the Court of Appeal of England and Wales on 18 October 2012. There is no injunction in respect of the Community registered design in force anywhere in Europe.
