According to Herald.net, the two-seater tsunami survival capsule called SC2001 is a sphere of a tubular aluminum that can bounce off solid objects such as buildings or vehicles. It is highly resistant to impacts from debris, can dissipate heat quickly, and won’t rust.





Survival Capsule LLC, a company based in Mukilteo, WA has designed and is testing a Tsunami escape capsule. This brief video was produced for a trade show in Japan and features preliminary testing of the unit. Their intention is to create different models in varying sizes and passenger capacity.
