Here's the tutorial on How to Update your GoPro Heo 3+ Camera to connect to Wi-Fi. You will need to go to GoPro official website to register your GoPro Camera. http://gopro.com/support/product-update/register-camera




1. ENTER A NAME AND PASSWORD FOR YOUR CAMERA

Your camera name and password must each contain at least 8 characters. Supported characters for camera name are: 0..9, a..z, A..Z, "-", "_"






2. Download the UPDATE folder to your computer

The download folder will contain the Wi-Fi name and password you just created.




3. Insert your camera's microSD card into your computer using one of the following adapters:


Using a microSD card adapter

  • Insert your microSD card into an SD card adapter.

  • Insert the SD card adapter into the slot on your computer.


4. Now drag the UPDATE folder from your Downloads folder to your microSD Card (Removable Disk).


  • Do not drag the UPDATE.zip file.

  • Do not drag UPDATE folders with numbers added to the end like UPDATE(1), UPDATE(2), etc.



5. Insert your microSD Card into your camera and Power on. 



Your camera will cycle through a number of beeps and turn itself OFF and ON one time.

  • Your camera will finally flash an "UPDATING" message before it turns OFF

  • As long as you don't get a "CAMERA UPDATE FAILED" message, your update is successful!







Problems?

If you get a "Camera Update Failed" message, you will need to remove and re-insert the battery, and then restart this process from the beginning.
