In 2004, the folks at Penny Arcade decided they wanted a show exclusively for gaming. Sure, comics, anime, and other nerd hobbies were cool, and those activities all had their own shows… so what about games? From that idea spawned a small 4,500 person event in Bellevue, Washington, focused on the culture and community that is gaming.
You can check out the live streaming at gamespot.com since they usually cover any major gaming event.
Absolutely. Ever since the first PAX in 2004, they've had the following 6 rules in place, printed on all badges and programs.
1. Drugs are bad.
2. Don’t steal.
3. Don’t punch or kick people.
4. No cheating.
5. Don’t harass anyone.
6. Don’t mess with things that aren’t yours.
According to FAX FAQ, if you see anyone doing ANY of these to others or yourself, please approach an Enforcer to report the incident as soon as possible. You’ll be asked to fill out an incident report form (either on record or anonymously, whichever you prefer), which will be immediately escalated to, depending on the severity, show management, show security, venue security, and local authorities.
GameSpot will be streaming Demolish The Developers on Monday, April 14th at 11am and again at 2pm PST. The Lobby will air at it's normal time of 2pm PST on Tuesdays.
