The Philippines climbed to fifth place in the medal tally yesterday at the Southeast Asian Games with nine golds coming in from boxing, softball, athletics, and billiards on Wednesday.
The country now has 21 gold, 23 silver, and 34 bronze medals, passing Indonesia in the standings and just five gold medals behind fourth-ranked Malaysia.
