How to Import your characters from Garden Warfare

If you played Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare, we’re sure you have some favorite characters.

We’re so glad you’re joining us for GW2 and we’re making it easy for you to transfer most of your Garden Warfare characters into the new game.

To import your characters and collect your loyalty rewards, you must link Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare and Plants vs Zombies GW2 to the same EA Account.

NOTE: We recommend that you import your characters before opening any of your free sticker packs.

You can import your characters any time before February 1, 2017.

As a thank you for playing the original Garden Warfare and to welcome you to Garden Warfare 2, we have some rewards for you!

We based rewards on the highest rank you achieved in Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare:

Rank 10 +

Helpful Fun Pack
- A mix of 5 customization and consumable items

Rank 25+

Wondrous Pack of Greatness
- A mix of 7 customization and consumable items
- Guaranteed Super Rare item!
- Includes Rank 10+ rewards

Rank 50+

Phenomenal Character Pack
- Guaranteed Rare or Super Rare character!
- Includes Rank 10+ and Rank 25+ rewards

Rank 100+

Century Pack
- Includes 5 Super Rare Customization items!
- Includes Rank 10+, Rank 25+ and Rank 50+ rewards

Rank 313

Legendary Unicorn Chomper
- Unlocks the Legendary Unicorn Chomper!
- Includes Rank 10+, rank 25+, Rank 50+ and Rank 100+ rewards

How to import your characters and redeem your rewards

To import your characters and unlock your rewards, go to the mailbox in the Backyard Battleground, and follow the on-screen instructions.

Once you’ve done this, collect your sticker pack rewards at the sticker vending machines in the Backyard Battleground.

Your imported characters are added to your roster and are available to select as usual.

Troubleshooting

If you get an error message when you check your mailbox, do not worry. You can try again in an hour, and you can import your characters and sync your rewards as often as you like up until February 1, 2017.

NOTE: The following promotional characters cannot be imported from the original game:

Chester Chomper

Dr. Chester

What if I played Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare on more than one device?

If you played the original Garden Warfare on PC and console, or on different consoles, we’ve got you covered. As long as you were playing on the same EA Account on all devices, we’ll pull your highest rank and your most powerful characters through to GW2 to make sure you get the best rewards possible.
