Classic Mega Man Games Available on Wii U

Every Thursday in August, Nintendo are bringing a classic Mega Man game to the Virtual Console on Wii U. This week is the unique MEGA MAN BATTLE CHIP CHALLENGE, which originally launched on Game Boy Advance in 2004.

Duel against formidable opponents, and win the prize at the Battle Chip Grand Prix!

Play as characters from the Mega Man Battle Network Universe, and help them win the Battle Chip Grand Prix! Each character has their own Net Navi--a unique program alter-ego that can navigate through the Internet--and will be competing against other network battlers for the ultimate prize!

Strategize Battle Chips that activate attacks, healing, or specialized moves on a grid called a Program Deck. Complete each duel by defeating your opponent or having the most chips left in your Program Deck. Purchase new Battle Chips to equip for the next duel. Eliminate opponents from the tournament, and claim the title of champion!

Classic Mega Man on Wii U Download Now

Mighty No. 9 Kick Starter Now Live

Classic Japanese side-scrolling action, evolved and transformed by Keiji Inafune, an all-star team of veteran Mega Man devs...and YOU!

Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune has launched a Kickstarter campaign for a classic-inspired side-scrolling action game to be developed by an "all-star team of Mega Man devs."

According to its Kickstarter page, Mighty No. 9 "takes the best aspects of the 8- and 16-bit era classics you know and love, and transforms them with modern tech, fresh mechanics, and fan input into something fresh and amazing."

According to gamespot, The Mighty No. 9 Kickstarter earlier reached and surpassed its target of $900,000.

Mighty No. 9 will also be released on Mac, Linux, and home consoles. The game is aiming to be released in spring 2015.
