Catch The Project Spark beta as it is now open to everyone. Project Spark is a powerful, yet simple way to build and play your own worlds, stories, and games. Share all of your creations to a dynamic community, and play what the community makes. Project Spark brings creation to life and presents endless opportunities for play.

How do I get a beta key?

You can sign up for the Project Spark beta at www.joinprojectspark.com. Submit your email address to be added to the list.

We’ll send out batches of keys on a regular basis. We do not have a limit to the number of participants that will be invited to take part in the beta. The number of participants for each beta event will depend on Team Dakota’s needs.

I don’t appear to have received my email.

If you are selected for a beta event, you will receive an e-mail from sparksup@xbox.com with the details. To ensure this e-mail doesn't end up in your spam folder, we recommend adding the aforementioned e-mail address to your Safe Senders list.

How do I download the game?

You can get Project Spark right from the Windows Store. Tap the Store tile on your Windows 8.1 device, search for Project Spark, and install.

What do I need to run the game?

Here are the announced minimum specs for the Project Spark Win8 Beta. Please note that the beta will not run on Windows RT:

Operating System: Windows 8.1, x86 or x64

CPU: Intel Core i5 or better

RAM: 4 GB

Hard Drive Space: 2 GB

Video: Intel HD 4000 or better

If you’re interested in a Win8 tablet, the team has been demoing Project Spark on the Surface Pro. If you’re considering a new PC, you could use the Microsoft Store PC builder to help out.
