Catch Woolly Mammoth on display at Yokohama, Japan.

WebProNews reports that the three-month exhibition ends on September 16, 2013.

The remarkably well-preserved female mammoth, a specie of the extinct elephant genus Mammuthus, has a strange liquid found around its carcass, which was publicly speculated by North-Eastern Federal University mammoth expert Semyon Grigoriev as blood.

If the preserved blood contains viable cells, as what is believed, there’s possibility that the woolly mammoth will be resurrected through cloning. Russian scientists are reportedly teaming up with South Korean researchers for the project.

The 39,000-year-old woolly mammoth found in Siberia last year, goes on display for public viewing in Yokohama, Japan on July 13.
