The Philippines trailed by as much as 12 points in the first half but found plenty of heroes in the second half as they fought back to hurdle a surprisingly game Thai squad in their semifinal clash.
Troy Rosario was brilliant all game long for the Gilas cadets, finishing with 27 points and 12 rebounds while Almond Vosotros added 18 points, including four triples in a big third quarter comeback for the Filipinos,according to InterAksyon.com.

The Philippines has won all but one of the SEA Games basketball gold medals since the sport was introduced to the program in 1977, winning 10 straight titles since Malaysia beat them to break the sequence in the 1989 final.

Egged on by an animated Filipino gallery, the popular Filipina volleybelles had their finest moment in the third set where they even led and 23-22 and looked poised to extend the match to a fourth one.
But the Vietnamese, showing the poise that earned them the silver medal at the 2014 Myanmar SEA Games, took the last three points, the last two blocking Jaja Santiago’s spikes, in advancing to the semifinals with their third straight win in Group B.
