Founder of Atari followed us on Twitter

Nolan Bushnell, Founder of Atari followed us on Twitter! I was a game enthusiast, and when I worked in Dubai UAE from November 2005 to December 2014, I was able to buy and collect the latest Game Console. I also have an old console collections such as Atari and Family Computer Game.  So it was a joy to learn that a prominent video game personality is following us on Twitter.

A week ago I have been watching Video Game The Movie in a repeat mode wherein game gurus have been asked who they think is the father of video games and majority of them think it was Nolan Bushnell and just yesterday I received a Twitter notification that Mr. Nolan Bushnell @NolanBushnell  just followed us on our Official Twitter account @egamerscentrum on Twitter.

I tried to check the account and it was indeed a verified Nolan Bushnell account. Thank you so much Mr Bushnell for following our humble account.

Bushnell has been inducted into the Video Game Hall of Fame and the Consumer Electronics Association Hall of Fame, received the BAFTA Fellowship and the Nations Restaurant News “Innovator of the Year” award, and was named one of Newsweek's "50 Men Who Changed America.".

New Ouya 16GB with Better Controller released

Retailing for $129, the new model promises an overhauled controller, improved Wi-Fi, and 16GB of storage--double that of the original model's 8GB. An official image for the new microconsole says the new Ouya revision comes in an anthracite finish, which is a very fancy way of saying matte black, according to gamespot report.

PC Mag reported that the original Ouya console, released on June 25, 2013 after numerous delays and a return to the Kickstarter well for funds to speed up game development, was priced at just $99. A nice deal compared to the PlayStation 4 ($399) or the Xbox One ($499), but it turns out you get what you pay for.

The Oculus Rift is a next-generation virtual reality headset designed for immersive gaming. Be part of history by getting your own Oculus Rift development kit.

Low Latency 360° Head Tracking

The Rift uses custom tracking technology to provide ultra-low latency 360° head tracking, allowing you to seamlessly look around the virtual world just as you would in real life. Every subtle movement of your head is tracked in real time creating a natural and intuitive experience.

Stereoscopic 3D View

The Oculus Rift creates a stereoscopic 3D view with excellent depth, scale, and parallax. Unlike 3D on a television or in a movie, this is achieved by presenting unique and parallel images for each eye. This is the same way your eyes perceive images in the real world, creating a much more natural and comfortable experience.

Wearable & Affordable

The Oculus Rift delivers a high-end virtual reality experience at an affordable price. The Rift is also designed to be as comfortable and lightweight as possible for long play sessions. The current Oculus Rift development kit is 369g, similar to a heavy pair of ski goggles.

Ultra Wide Field of View

The Oculus Rift provides an approximately 110° field of view, stretching the virtual world beyond your peripheral vision. Your view of the game is no longer boxed in on a screen and is only limited by what your eyes can see. The combination of the wide field of view with head-tracking and stereoscopic 3D creates an immersive virtual reality experience.

Poll-What do you think is the Best 7th Generation Gaming Console? Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii or XBox 360? Vote on your favorite gaming console.

A video game console is an interactive entertainment computer or modified computer system that produces a video display signal which can be used with a display device (a television, monitor, etc.) to display a video game. The term "video game console" is used to distinguish a machine designed for consumers to buy and use solely for playing video games from a personal computer, which has many other functions, or arcade machines, which are designed for businesses that buy them and then charge others to play.

Seventh Generation Console

The features introduced in this generation include the support of new disc formats: Blu-ray Disc, utilized by the PlayStation 3, and HD DVD supported by the Xbox 360 via an optional $200 internal accessory addition, that was later discontinued as the format war closed. Another new technology is the use of motion as input, and IR tracking (as implemented on the Wii). Also, all seventh generation consoles support wireless controllers.
