The new, third generation, iPad, will be available in the US, UK and ten other countries this Friday and worldwide by the end of March. It will be available at about £399 for the wi-fi-only (16GB version) to as high as £659 for the 64GB, 4G model. It has the same price range as when the iPad2 was made available last year.

iPad 3- New Apple iPad HD

According to the report from AFP Apple may introduce a version of the iPad with a smaller screen and lower price to fend off competition from Amazon's Kindle Fire and the Nook from book-seller Barnes & Noble, according to independent Silicon Valley analyst Rod Enderle.



An Apple TV announcement could also be in store, given that it has been a while since the company has upgraded its offering in an Internet television market being heated up by offerings from Google and makers of major videogame consoles.

The next generation iPad has Siri and it allows owners to zoom on the photos as many times as possible.

The 3rd generation iPad (2012) has just been announced by Apple.



The improvements compared to the iPad 2 include:



1. It features a high-definition screen with 2048 x 1536 resolution or more than 3.1 million pixels.



2. It is powered by the A5X processor, a dual-core processor with a quad-core graphics processing unit but still is 4 times faster than NVIDIA’s Tegra 3, according to Apple SVP of marketing Phil Schiller.



3. It now includes a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera that is almost the same as the iPhone 4S.



4. Apple has added 4G LTE network support to the new iPad.



5. It has voice dictation, allowing you to input text by speaking rather than typing.
