Anne Hathaway won her first Oscar on Sunday, February 24, for her portrayal of Fantine in “Les Miserables,” the sweeping yet intimate film adaptation of the stage play based on French writer Victor Hugo’s epic 1862 novel.
Other nominees for the best supporting actress category are Amy Adams (The Master), Sally Field (Lincoln), Helen Hunt (The Sessions), and Jacki Weaver (Silver Linings Playbook).
