The PlayStation Vita (also known as "PSVita" or "PSV") is an upcominghandheld game console under development by Sony Computer Entertainment. It is the successor to the PlayStation Portable as part of the PlayStation family of gaming devices. It is set to release in Japan and parts of Asia in late 2011, and in Europe and North America in early 2012.
