According to The New York Times, the Top Gun 3D project was completed earlier this year.
However according to the report, a sequel of the 1986 blockbuster movie Top Gun starring Tom Cruise has reportedly been put on hold following the suicide of director-producer Tony Scott.
Reports said Scott was working on the film before he died. He was set to direct and was scouting filming locations just prior to his death, Slash Film noted.
Paramount is reportedly looking for the perfect timing as it doesn’t like to strike while the iron is hot. The production outfit wants to release the movie “without seeming insensitive or exploitative.”
