Cesar Carrillo- 100-game suspension

Cesar Carrillo receives a 100-game suspension over the Biogenesis scandal has been announced Friday by the Major League Baseball.

“The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Detroit Tigers Minor League right-handed pitcher Cesar Carrillo has received a 100-game suspension without pay for his violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program,” the Detroit Tigers posted on its website.

Carrillo, a starting pitcher for the Tigers, was slapped with a 50-game suspension for appearing in the Biogenesis documents published by the Miami New Times on January 29, 2013.


He received the second half of the penalty, another 50-game suspension, for lying to MLB about knowing Tony Bosch, owner of the Biogenesis clinic in South Florida.
