"The Fifth Estate" is based on the books “Inside WikiLeaks” by former WikiLeaks spokesperson Daniel Domscheit-Berg, the Guardian book “WikiLeaks," and "an endless supply of articles and documentaries," according to the filmmaker. (Josh Singer is the film's screenwriter.)
