PlayStation® believes in the power of their gaming community to do good in the world. That’s why they have teamed up with the video game based charity Extra Life to generate a call to arms to the PlayStation® community to help us raise money by doing what we do best: play games!
Extra Life is part of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, an international non-profit organization that raises funds for children's hospitals, medical research and community awareness of children's health issues. For years, Extra Life has helped raise money for CMN Hospitals by asking gamers around the world to play games for 24 hours straight (or as long as they can go!) on one special day of the year and leverage the event to make people aware of why they’re undertaking such a task. It’s done in the hopes that their friends and families will donate to CMN Hospitals to help the cause via the player’s online Extra Life profile page where individuals can track how much donations they’ve helped generate.
