The 4K Ultra HD TV has four times the resolution and clarity of Full HD 1080p, Triluminos display technology for enhanced color and detail, and HDMI 2.0.
According to PC World.com, Sony added nine more models in three series to its 4K TV range at the International CES show on Monday, promising cheaper offerings but not specifying prices.
High-end PCs already support 4K gaming, while Sony has already suggested 4K for the PS4 – albeit added after release, much like 3D was on the PS3. An accompanying video-on-demand store is also a shoo-inaccording o stuffmideast.com report.
The Tech site added, in the US, Seiki is charging just US$1300 for a 50in 4K TV. Brand snob? Sony’s KD-55X9000A 55-incher (pictured) is,US$6000. Not exactly pocket change, but TV prices only ever go one way.
