Blender 2.75a is the latest stable release from the Blender Foundation.
To download it, please select your platform and location. Blender is Free & Open Source Software
Blender 2.75a was released on July 8, 2015. Blender is becoming more and more a program that can do everything, whether it is 3D or 2D. On the downside of that is the ever lengthening learning curve, because the more that is added, the more complex it becomes. That said, there is no other application I have seen that can do as much as Blender. But with new builds being released on average every two months, it is a program no-one will ever fully learn, at least until it become perfect. Not likely to ever be perfect though.Don't let what I say scare you though. If you are looking for an application that does nearly everything you can't go wrong with Blender. Just keep in mind that some controls are switched, and the work space Y and Z axes are switched too.
How do I install Blender?
To install Blender, download the appropriate package for your platform. The Windows version comes with an optional self-extracting installer, for other operating systems you can simply unpack the compressed file to the location of your choice.
Provided the Blender binary is in the original extracted directory, Blender will run straight out of the box. No system libraries or system preferences are altered.

I am a user of several 3D art and modeling applications; all of which have the axes arranged with X as side to side, Y as up to down, and Z as fore to rear, Blender is the only one with the X and Y axes switched. And yes it is also the only one with the left and right mouse button functions switched. But I leave everything as is in the program because I don't want to keep having to set Blender up for my preferences every time I upgrade. I like using keyboard shortcuts, and if I set the new build to work like my other applications, I have to also reset my keyboard shortcuts. I just don't have time to do that. So I live with Blender as is, and try to keep in mind that I am working in Blender when doing so.

It's a free 3D graphics application and considered as one of the best free video editor for Mac. It can be used for modeling, rigging, texturing, UV unwrapping, skinning, animating, rendering, water and smoke simulations, particle and other simulations, non-linear editing, compositing, and creating interactive 3D applications, animated film, video games, or other visual effects.
