You can use many different types of video cameras with Elgato Game Capture HD60.

For example, many DSLRs (Digital single-lens reflex cameras) not only take pictures, but can also capture HD video as well. They usually offer HDMI output, and that 720p, 1080i or 1080p video output can be used with Elgato Game Capture HD.

The only exception is HDMI output that is protected by HDCP, but most consumer cameras wouldn't fall under that category. To make sure, you can contact the manufacturer of your camera to see if it uses HDCP or not.
