Firstly, at the beginning of a large-scale project, contracts are exchanged between both employer and contractor in order to help everything run smoothly. The agreements set out clear budgets, completion goals and construction requirements. Likewise, the start of the project is the phase of planning is where all contractual obligations should be laid out. By using dedicated software programmes, both contractors and employers will have a strong foundation and timeline for steps to complete the project – known as the ‘as-built’ phase. This software is also useful when claims and disputes do arise.
