The car created by BMW for "Vision Gran Turismo", the "BMW Vision Gran Turismo" is a compact road racer that was inspired by their 1970's touring cars. This footage is a making-of movie created by BMW, including interviews of the developers and exciting driving scenes of the completed car.

"Vision Gran Turismo" is a project in which the world's leading brands design an original sportscar in commemoration for the 15th anniversary of Gran Turismo, as present to players of "Gran Turismo 6". The GT Academy is a driver discovery/development program started in 2008 through a collaboration between Gran Turismo and Nissan. Online qualifiers are held within Gran Turismo, and the top qualifiers are invited to National Finals in each participating country. Those who pass this final will then participate in a Race Camp held at Silverstone, UK, for the final selection. The final winner will undergo an intensive Driver Development Programme designed by Nissan, and will participate in races around the world as a professional driver.



GT Academy is coming back in 2014 as the 6th installment. The online qualification starts on 21 April whitin Gran Turismo 6, exclusively on PlayStation®3. We hope to see you online!

Toyota revealed its sports design "Toyota FT-1" at the North American International Auto Show held in Detroit, Michigan, and Gran Turismo created the image movie of this Toyota FT-1 to be shown at the Toyota booth of the show. The Toyota FT-1 was also made available within Gran Turismo 6, enabling players all over the world to experience its stunning performance. This is the movie that was shown at the show.

"FT-1" stands for "Future Toyota", and the number "1" signifies its top tier position. The car's exterior is full of brand concepts and design directions that will appear in Toyota cars to come, and was created by Toyota's Calty Design Research design studio located in Newport Beach, California. The concept shows not only their approach for the future, but also the DNA of iconic Toyota cars like the 2000GT, Celica and Supra.
