The Sun and Moon, out April 26 on PS4 and PS Vita

admin 23:48 Add Comment

Phase through walls in the colorful puzzler The Sun and Moon, out April 26 on PS4, PS Vita.

The Sun and Moon, the winner of Ludum Dare 29, is a platformer with a unique mechanic: you can dive into the ground. Momentum is conserved but gravity is reversed, letting you fling yourself high into the air or deep beneath the surface. The goal is always straightforward - collect the three orbs in the level and jump into the wormhole - but spikes, endless drops and impossible heights make this more and more difficult.

Key Features:

Dive into the ground - This unique mechanic preserves your momentum, letting you use the level itself to overcome a huge range of challenges.

Conquer over 150 levels - Run, jump and dive your way through levels spanning from easy to brutally difficult. You'll need to both master the controls as well as think outside the box.

Non-linear level unlock system - Explore the game in whatever order best suits you.

Achieve Time Goals - Three tiers of medals provide an additional challenge for even the easiest levels.

Minimalistic graphics - Straight-to-the-point graphics help you focus on the gameplay.

Music by Dubmood - A killer track that grows as you progress.

The gameplay concerns a hero who’s little more than a cute blob of darkness — however he has the ability to phase through the floor and walls of the minimalistic environment he must navigate. While inside a solid object gravity is reversed but momentum maintained, so this inertia can be used to accelerate the ball into larger jumps or dive to deeper depths.

PSone classic Mega Man X5 is out now on PS3 and PS Vita

PSone classic Mega Man X5 is out now on PS3 and PS Vita

This beloved entry in the X series can be found on both PS3 and Vita online shops, enabling fans to rediscover — or perhaps play for the first time.

According to Sony, both classic titles are $5.99 and represent some of 2D gaming’s finest work. Cool, the last Mega Man X game is available now! I’ve been replaying them since they put MMX1 on the Wii U VC and now I and finally finish it off.

Oh and to anyone who thinks they heard of a “Mega Man X6″, that never happened. It’s all in your head. X5 is the last one.

"You can’t find Mega Man X4 or X5 on the Vita store. They’re not there, even if you search. You have to use the webstore or buy them on PS3. SCEA continues to have what looks like a personal vendetta against their handhelds. A few weeks ago they were removing PSP games from the Vita store without publisher consent."

Themes coming to PS4 & PS Vita, “Live from PlayStation” app

Themes coming to PS4 & PS Vita, “Live from PlayStation” app coming to PS Vita. This autumn you’ll be able to watch PS4 live streams from Twitch and USTREAM on your PS Vita through the “Live from PlayStation” app.

Those are great news. But I am still hoping that we’ll get folders for the PS4 in 2.00, as my home screen is getting a little too long.

At the very least, move the LIBRARY icon to the left side (instead of the right most) so that I don’t have to scroll through a long long list of icons to reach it. I know I can also reach it via the store icon (which is on the left most on the top row) but that’s slow and indirect.
Let us use the triangle button on the PS4 menu for Options too. Keep the PS3 convention available on the PS4, since the triangle button is not assigned anyway. This is important because the Options button on the DS4 controller is so tiny and not ergonomic to reach blindly.
Allow us to RENAME the game icons. Now I have 3 game icons all called “Contrast” and they all look exactly the same, though they are for the US, Europe and Japan versions respectively (they have stackable trophy sets), and they move around depending on which was most recently played.
Let us organise the video app icons better. For example, I installed WWE Network app from US store, when I use a UK ac...
