Once again Qatar - the land that brings the world of sport together; takes the international spotlight as it prepares to deliver one of the biggest boxing events in the Arabian Gulf region – The AIBA World Boxing Championships Doha 2015 - will be staged from October 5 – 15 at the imposing Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiya Arena.

The stakeholders - AIBA, the Qatar Boxing Federation (QBF) and the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) have put in tireless efforts to make sure the world championships leave lasting impression on the minds of the thousands of fans who walk through the gates at Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiya Arena. We hope boxing fans not only enjoy the boxing bouts but they also get to taste Qatar's warm hospitality during their stay for the AIBA World Boxing Championships Doha 2015.

WBO strips Mayweather of his agaimst Pacquiao

Mayweather stripped of WBO belt he won by beating Pacquiao. 

The five-weight king claimed the title in May but has failed to pay a sanctioning fee or decided at which weight class to continue as champion.

"The WBO World Championship Committee is allowed no other alternative but to cease to recognize Mr Floyd Mayweather Jr as the WBO welterweight champion of the world and vacate his title for failing to comply with our WBO regulations of world championship contests," said a statement by the World Boxing Organisation.

Less than two weeks before Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao are scheduled to step into a ring at the MGM Grand Garden on May 2, but incredulously, tickets to the fight aren't on sale yet. Nor are the approximately 50,000 closed-circuit seats in Las Vegas that are supposed to be available for purchase according to Yahoo.com

As of this posting, April 21, 4:00P.M. Dubai time the ticket is still not available for purchase. Meanwhile MGM warned the public:
